Friday Photos

Hey all! Me again back with a post. Remember way back when in November when I was doing the Photo a Day challenge and blogger so kindly informed me that I had reached my storage limit? I got quite frustrated and angsty and I took an Internet break.

We didn't break up mind you. I just needed some...space. I certainly don't need an apology from  Internet not will I bore Internet with a 30 page letter expressing my disappointment.

This is what I have discovered: in order to resize the photos on my blog, I would have resize them in picasa then delete from the original post and then repost them. That's a lot a photos, people, over 600. But I found a loophole. If new photos are resized under a certain limit then they don't count towards that 1 GB of space we are allocated.

So here I am testing that theory.

Back in November Cyra found a turtle in our yard. A beautiful turtle that, if it wasn't a protected species, I totally would have adopted then and there because, I loved him right away.

PS - Yay! It worked!!

    1. I have loved turtles since I first heard Yertle the Turtle (poor misunderstood turtle king!). And I have recently discovered a love for loopholes!

  2. Great news for the photos!

I love turtles! When I was little, my dad would take us on canoe trips and my brother and I would catch turtles and bring them home. Then, the next canoe trip, we would take them back. Seems kind of mean now, but it was awesome as a kid :)

    1. I had a turtle for about 7+ years and I was devastated when he died. I had him trained to take food from my hand. I am pretty sure out of all the reptiles (not counting dinosaurs because of stupid extinction!) turtles are the best.

I collected salamanders when I was little. I'd keep them in a jar for a day or two and then let them go. Now? Ugh! Salamanders? What was I thinking? Why wasn't I collecting turtles?!?

    1. He was pretty to look at. We tried to feed him, but he ignored our offering of celery and then tried to climb a tree. Maybe he was confused!

  4. Welcome back, glad you found the loophole. I don't know why, but I love turtles.

    1. Thanks! I'm glad to be back finally. Honestly, it was the loophole that did it. Had I not figured that out, I probably would have thrown my hands in the air and walked away from it!

  5. Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you
knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that
automatically tweet my newest twitter updates.
I've been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.
