Problems?

So I've figured out the issue.

Fine print. It all comes down to the fine print that we always say we've read, but do we ever really read it? Nope.

Apparently, to make the most of my blogger, I needed to resize my photos. Guess who has never resized a photo ever. Blogger is all: "post all the photos you want forever! As long as they are smaller than 3 microns. But Hey! Post all of them you want!! Yay, Photos!" And I was all like, "Yay! Photos! I love taking pictures and I will post all the pictures and the internets will be complete! Me and Blogger are BFFs!"

Maybe I took Blogger for granted. But maybe Blogger took advantage of my internet innocence. For all computer abilities, I am really not a tech person. Hell! I don't even use shortcuts in Word!

So, it's a fixable issue, but then I wonder if I need to go and resize all the photos I've already posted and that is a daunting thought so I walk away from the computer in frustration and bearing the slightest grudge against blogger even though technically it is my own fault since I didn't read the fine print.

Crap! I can't even really hold a good grudge.

Beside with all the craziness of Christmas preparation, I really haven't spent too much time online anyway. That's how it goes in December. I craft until my fingers are caked in paint, glue and glitter. I wrap until I have scraps of ribbon and pieces of tape in my hair. I blast my Christmas playlist until an intervention is called. I menu plan and bake until there is a haze of deliciousness floating over my house.

So words will be it for the time being. Which stinks because boy have I got some crazy, awesome photos to share! Like the one where I'm surfing and there's a school of sharks right underneath my longboard. And the one where I reached the summit of K2 - I don't want to brag, but the view was pretty amazing. And the one where I had to use the emergency eject chair because my experimental FJ-X465 was crashing into the Mojave desert. Oh and the one with Ashleigh cloning dinosaurs in her bedroom and Cyra photo-bombing her!

Good times!

    1. Seriously, I think the dinosaur on is my favorite. Sure I like being in the photos but there is just something so cool about my kids.

  2. Oddly enough, I was just thinking that this Christmas would be complete if I could see a photo of Heather ejecting from an FJ-X465, as it crashes into the Mojave desert. Maybe next year.....or for my birthday? :)

    1. I suppose I could email them to you but then I think, how can I share these photos of awesomeness with only one person? It just wouldn't be fair!

  4. I always resize my photos so they don't look ginormous. I remember the pic of you on the longboard. Ahh, the good ol' days when you had two arms.

    1. I know right. I looked good with the two arms. Now I just look asymmetrical.

  5. I'm with you, I have no clue regarding resizing. Words are good too, we can make do with words until you're able to have time to fix things. Also, say it aint so, not glitter, anything but glitter! Glitter and I have an ongoing fued whereby the glitter gets all over everything and I complain about it for weeks.

  6. You must have been hit with the "you've reached your limit on pictures in your blog' message too. Either cough up $ to keep posting pics or go on about your merry, boring, pictureless life. Yeah, me too.

So going through and resizing them down will create more space? Then can I cancel my $2.49/mth payment (grr)

Love this post! Miss you around the hammock!

    1. Yeah the whole paying money thing....eww. I guess if I was a firm photo blogger I might consider it, but I just want to post photos with my stories not make them the sole focus...

      Wait a sec...why was I doing a photo a day thing then?!?!?

  7. Can't wait to see those photos!

And I have no idea how blogger works either... I just press buttons and hope for the best. I wish I were better at the computer.

    Hugs!

  8. I have no clue about realizing photos either... or anutjong else about the internet. When I moved my blog from blogger to WordPress I started drinking in the mornings xxx

  9. I decorate my stories with pictures too, but they're just public photos I've pulled off Google or Pinterest. I had no idea there was a size limit, but then I can barely handle the basic functions of Blogger let alone anything fancy. It drives me crazy when there are glitches, but me trying to use WordPress would be like trying to do a triple axel. Failure guaranteed and painful for everyone to watch.
