When I am not feeling well or grouchy or lazy I'll sometimes forego my bed in favor of our futon couch for a little shut-eye. I like sleeping on the couch. It feels rebellious and irresponsible. It brings me back to a time when I liked, and was capable of, staying up all night with no ill effects. Of course, the lack of alarm clock leaves me relying on my internal clock or Scott to wake me up in the morning and that's never a good option on a school day since I have a tendency to ignore both.

Simone was mildly perturbed at my invasion or her territory. |
I know that sleeping on the couch has been stigmatized as being "in the doghouse" like you had an argument with your significant other, but sometimes sleeping on the couch is the best! A change up in the sleep area is like a vacation. Full support.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Sleeping on the couch has earned a bad rep. I love it. Also, we both snore although I am by far the worse offender. Sometimes, especially when I'm congested, it's better for me to sleep on the couch so at least one of us gets a decent night's sleep.
DeleteI slept on the couch once during the black out because my daughter, who was sleeping in our bed, kicked me in my vagina. I think it would have been more liberating if my whooha didn't hurt so bad.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wicked comfy though!!
Hugs!

Ouch. I love my girls but I have to say I am very grateful that they don't climb into bed with us anymore. They are more tossy and turney then I ever was!
DeleteIt looks really comfortable. I enjoyed the post.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
