mmm...melting chocolate and butter. What a great base for a cake. |
A little yolk and sugar. |
Beating those egg whites into shape! |
Fold the egg whites into the chocolate base. |
I could totally eat this as is! |
It isn't there just yet... |
Grating chocolate is tiring. |
Almost looking like the photo! |
Awesome! Now I want chocolate cake. And my favorite color is orange so I of course love that plate.
ReplyDeleteI've had that plate forever! When I bought it it was the only one in the store and I loved it! I decided that since I could only get the one, it would become the "special plate." I usually only use it when I serve desserts!
DeleteOh my gosh, YUM!!! So good to see a post by Heather again!!! :O)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is good to be back!
DeleteOkay, I'm kind of craving chocolate cake now. Guess it's time for a trip to the coffee shop!
ReplyDeleteA coffee shop cake is always a welcome treat...but surely you could whip one up! And then you get to lick the bowl! YUM!
DeleteCAKE! There's nothing better than cake, is there? And, oh yeah, grating chocolate is VERY tiring. I would suggest just eating it out of hand next time!!! ;0
ReplyDeleteI almost used chocolate chips to avoid the whole grating thing, but I only had milk chocolate chips and the recipe called for semi-sweet. But man oh man do I love that glaze!
DeleteI wish it were eggless. It looks so delicious.
ReplyDeleteIt is almost like making meringues so I think this is one recipe that can go eggless! Are you vegan or allergic?
DeleteIt's like almost midnight right now. But if I had access to cake, I'd eat the whole damn thing right now!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
