I do. Seriously and for real. Need a truck.
I was only able to fit two in the back seat and I need at least four! By the time I got back to the store that gave them to me for FREE the other two I wanted were GONE!!
I bet someone saw me joyfully cramming pallets into my car and they were all like "HEY!! Let's ruin that lady's day and take the other ones BEFORE she comes back! Bwa ha ha!! That will keep her from ever being able to complete her awesome pallet project!"
My project, by the way, is indeed totally awesome. Check it out
here.
I am so glad my dad has a pickup. If I didn't have access to one easily I would seriously die. Like dead. No breathing. Starting to smell. Perhaps pooping myself if I had full bowels. Okay I'll stop.
ReplyDeleteMy sister has a smaller SUV that I sometimes beg to utilize but she was at work 40 miles away. And as much as I know that she would drop everything to help me in a crisis, I don't think that she'd see picking up free pallets as a crisis! Curse her logical thinking!
DeleteI completely understand the feeling!
It has been a LONG time since I've used this word, but that project looks RAD!
ReplyDeleteSucks those others were gone. I feel like you could have held one out the window whilst driving. Not a good idea? You're right. You did the safest thing.
Why thank you! It is a rad project (like I totally came up with it myself, right?). I'm really excited about it as the current compost system we've got going is a huge mound of leaves piled up looking all...messy! And you know I can't have messy leaves!
DeleteI actually debated plopping the other two on top of the car and trying it down with my daughters' sweat jackets... but I didn't think the jackets would hold.
OH MY GOODNESS! I just imagined my life for a second without having a truck......it was hellish!
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks to me you now know exactly how hellish! Pallets! In the backseat!! Can you imagine carting around your bags of seed or your chickens (I assume you have chickens because you are a farmer and farmers MUST have chickens...and dogs) in the backseat of your mid-sized sedan?
DeleteThink on that as you toot around in your truck today, Mister!!
I have dogs, i love dogs! But not chickens, i've done the chicken experience, i'm not a big fan, except for barbecued or roasted. Just cows. And more cows. :)
DeleteWhy do you keep ruining all of my happy delusions about farmers? I insist that you must have chickens! Cute ones, that scratch in the garden which pisses your wife off and you have to secure the hen house against foxes and coyotes every night.
